Acappella version of
the National Anthem
Up and coming country music artist Amy Scruggs is
definitely becoming one to watch. Over the past
year Amy has been working both locally  in
Southern California as well as AZ, CO, NV and Wy
opening for such country greats as Clint Black,
Charlie Daniels, Phil Vassar, Little Texas, Hal
Katchum and Emerson Drive. She also put together
her first CD titled "Right Here, Right Now".  Her new
single "Comin Home" written by Dave Adams and
Produced by Paul Mckenna is an anthem for the
troops, veterans and their families.

Amy  has also aligned herself with the USO to help
give back to our service men and women who
continue to defend our county's freedom. She
recently performed a welcome home party for 3,000
Marines at Miramar Marine Base in San Diego. Her
recorded version of the National Anthem has been
played on Shawn Parr's morning show. She also
dedicates time to our veterans and was sponsored
by AMVETS California for the 4th of July concert at
FT Irwin, Barstow CA and continued with numerous
military and veteran events throughout 2009.

Amy also had the privilege of opening up for Phil
Stacy and Josh Gracin at Go-County's Los Angeles
Acoustic Christmas and then being Spotlight Artist
of the month for Go Country in April.

Being a mother to 4 wonderful children and having
survived a medical situation that nearly ended her
dreams of becoming a country performer,  Amy is so
grateful to be having all of these opportunities that
have come into her life to share her musical
abilities and talents with so many wonderful people.
She is able to touch others with the power and
passion within her heart and soul that make up who
she is.

Country music singer Amy Scruggs has climbed up another rung on the ladder to stardom.
The Ontario resident, who has opened for such country greats as Clint Black, Phil Stacy and Josh Gracin, has been
chosen as this month's featured artist for the Go Country 105 Artist Spotlight Series sponsored by Traveland USA.
The honor comes with a live concert gig at Traveland USA at 1 p.m. April 19.
Throughout the month Go Country 105 will promote Scruggs and her upcoming concert on FM 105. The station's
coverage area includes large sections of the Inland Empire, plus areas as far south as San Diego and as far north
as Santa Barbara.
"We became aware of Amy about six to eight months ago," said Charlie Cook, senior programming manager. "She
has a great command of the stage. She's very comfortable doing live performances."
Cook, as well as several other Go Country personalities, have called on Scruggs to help out with charity events
and other station projects. "She's become a station favorite," Cook said. "She has such a personal connection with
the music. Her passion comes through in her CD and live performances. I'm a big fan."
Scruggs is also a fan of the station. Being chosen as its spotlight artist for April is an honor - and a surprise, she
said.
"They called me on the phone and told me and I couldn't believe it," Scruggs said. "I was so excited."
Scruggs' music career has spanned more than 20 years, including
time-outs for motherhood and recuperation from a high-risk ovarian tumor removal surgery that not only could
have ended her career, but her life.
Since her miraculous recovery she's been working with such Nashville greats as Chip Martin and R.L. Castleman.
Scruggs' CD "Right Here, Right Now" debuted last summer featured eight songs. She is currently in the studio
preparing the album's re-release that will include bonus tracks.
Scruggs is also committed to giving back to the country she loves and has formed a close relationship with the
USO. On March 13 she performed at a welcome home party for 3,000 Marines at Miramar Marine Base in San
Diego and she has other Southern California USO events scheduled.
Her recorded version of the National Anthem has been played on Go Country's morning show with host Shawn
Parr.
Scruggs upcoming shows span the Western United States with scheduled performances in Colorado, Wyoming,
Utah and Nevada. Being chosen as the spotlight artist for Go Country 105 has brought her closer to being a
recognizable talent in her home town.
